
Despite the next gubernatorial election in Anambra State still being far away, stakeholders have been stating reasons Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election for second term is non-negotiable.
The Onitsha South APGA youth leader, Comrade Chiadikobi Dunu who is also a stakeholder of ASATU in the state, asserted that considering the high strides in community developments by Governor Soludo, his re-election for second tenure is not negotiable and cannot be denied.
Comrade Dunu stated this in an interview at the commissioning of a 1.7km road done by Governor Soludo at Port Harcourt Road, Fegge, Onitsha South LGA, Anambra State.
Dunu who further stated that Governor Soludo’s loudable achievements speak for him and should be sustained by re-electing him, commended the Governor for changing the face of Onitsha South with the construction of high quality road networks and provision of many other amenities.
Dunu expressed confidence in the ability of the Governor as he had consistently given good governance and verifiable democracy dividends to the people. He described the Governor as the most friendly and hardworking governor of the time.
As the youth leader, Dunu said he would mobilize the youths to maintain and protect the road by warding off all the miscreants and their likes who burn tyres on the road.
A source revealed that the new Port Harcourt road was awarded on August 11, 2023 to Ferotex construction company and supervised by the Anambra State Ministry of Works. The road measures about 1.7km by length and 10.3 by width.
Deputy Chairman, Onitsha South Landlords Association, Mr. Ndubisi Umezuruike while addressing the audience, eulogised the Governor for making history by giving Onitsha South good road networks, General Hospital and many other facilities to better the lives of the people. He urged the residents to keep supporting Governor Soludo who had demonstrated good leadership and had recorded verifiable achievements as never seen before in the area.
Many personalities and groups were at the event. They include the Onitsha South APGA men and women, the Onitsha South Landlords Association, Yoruba Community, Fegge, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu and the Commissioner for Special duties, Hon. Nkemdiche Ikpeazu.
