It is party time in swimming trunks and pants, as organisers of the first beach party in Anam plan to give attendees waooh experience.
According to them, the event will replicate the experiences of bigtime beaches like Eleko and Badagry beaches in Lagos State.
The event holding on Christmas Day has two parts. While the daytime is for everybody, the night part that will start from 7pm till dawn, is exclusively for adults.
In an interview with the chairman, organising committee, Chief Simeon Nnakwe, multichannels247, an online newspaper learnt that there will be live performances by musicians and comedians of Anam origin.
Chief Nnakwe said that there will be dancing groups, father Christmas, boat cruise, flying boat ride, horse ride, swimming, etc.
Part of the major attractions is that the organisers plan to cook food, provide drinks, small shops, pepper soup etc. However, they pointed out that because of the volume of crowd being expected, it will definitely not be enough and people are encouraged in the spirit of the season to also make provisions for themselves, friends and others.
He said, “Provision is made for food and drinks vendors as well as sellers of other wares to do so at subsidized prices. Families are encouraged and allowed to carry their home-made foods and drinks to the beach.”
To ensure safety of the attendees the Navy,the Army and the Police will be on hand.
The venue remains Okpu Ani Asa, Oroma Etiti.
