Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, few days ago, inaugurated the Governing Council of state-owned university, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU).
While inauguratimg the council, Governor Soludo said it has been entrusted with the responsibility of repositioning the university for greatness and would also be tasked with providing foresighted leadership for the institution.
Giving reasons for appointing them, he said: “I am confident the men and women on this council will serve with utmost dignity, as they are people of pedigree and impeccable professionalism. May Anambra continue to succeed!”
The members of the new COOU Governing Council include the following: Professor Chidi Odinkalu, Pro-Chancellor/Chairman; Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; Chief Christopher Ndubuisi; HRH Oranu Chris Chidume and AIG Chris Ezike (Rtd).
Senate Representatives to the Council are Prof. K.K. Nwozo; Prof. Angela Nwamuo; Prof. C.C. Chukwueloka; Prof. Obi Emeka and Prof. Anselem Nweke.
Congregation Representatives to the Council are Prof. M.N. Chendo and Mrs. Eucharia Abafor.
