…says he is exceptional, revered among the governors
National Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has no rival in the next gubernatorial election because in just two years, he had done what most governors could not do in eight years.
Ezeokenwa stated that the governor is the best thing to happen to Anambra people especially by doing all these projects without borrowing a dime.
He said that as a professor of economics with impeccable tract records, Soludo is bringing financial management and prudence to bear; noting that while some governors are borrowing heavily to do projects that will only make them popular, thereby putting their state into huge debts, Soludo is focusing on projects that will create long lasting legacy.
He said that APGA is the most progressive-minded-political party in Nigeria” and urged Anambrarians to continue to support the Solution Governor for more good works.
He said that even Nigerians need to entrust the leadership of the country to APGA to replicate what is being done at the state level, at the national level.
Ezeokenwa who made the statement during a courtesy visit to a former deputy governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chinedu Emeka said that the party’s philosophy of “Onye Aghanaa nwanne ya” meaning “Never leave your brother behind” is more than mere words.
He said the philosophy is the guiding principles why its leaders perform exceptionally well and always stand out and doing it at the national, even if means going into alliance with like-minded parties may be considered.
He said, “It is common knowledge that Governor Soludo is revered among his fellow governors; even Peter Obi is a product of APGA. Most of the things being talked about Obi were the things he did as APGA governor.
“Governor Chukwuma Soludo is today giving full interpretation to the philosophy of the party by ensuring that everyone is carried along. A popular adage says that a long rope is as strong as its weakest point, same with a team; that is why Soludo is giving full attention to the most neglected communities and people in Anambra State. His policies are people oriented. It is meant to make life easier for the people.
“Even if he later borrows money, it is certain that he will for sure account for every kobo, considering his impeccable antecedents.
“Ordinarily, the money he is investing in constructing roads in a riverine terrain like Anambra West will do four times, the same kilometre of road, in an urban area. But the governor is not grandstanding or playing politics, he wants to ensure everyone receives democracy dividends.
“As it is now, one can drive from Awka, the state capital to Nzam, the headquarters of Anambra West LGA, a place that was for years almost inaccessible and forgotten.
“The new Secretariat at Nzam is now befitting and about the biggest in the state. The LGA workers now comfortably go to work in a cosy environment instead of the former makeshift office they were using at Umueze Anam. In other words, productivity will be increased.
“He is replicating same thing in various parts of the state. Go to Okpoko. It has received a new breath of fresh air with motorable roads, good water, hospitals etc and the people are happy. “
Ezeokenwa restated that APGA has the Solution and it is here.
