Two associations, United Anambra Youth Assembly (U-AYA) and United Anambra Women Assembly, (U-AWA) Anambra West chapter, have called on Chief Chinedu Obidigwe and Hon. Patrick Udoba, representing Anambra West/East at the National Assembly and Anambra West at the State Assembly, respectively, to return for a second term.
Speaking on behalf of the associations, Chairman, U-AYA Anambra West LGA, Hon. Ojukwu Obakasi moved a motion that Chief Obidigwe should be returned as member of the House of Representatives while Hon. Udoba returns to the State Assembly, as well. The motion was seconded by Mr. Emmanuel Nwakor and it was adopted.
Emphasising on why they should return, Deputy Chairman, U-AYA Anambra West, Hon. Ozoemena Boniface Obuka said the parliamentarians’ outstanding performance under two years and seven months in office, was the first of its kind, especially with their efforts and focus on Human Capital Development.
The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe speaking earlier on Obidigwes competence , said, “anybody doubting the capacity of Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, a true servant leader, to deliver as the representative of the people of Anambra East and West at the green chamber is in dire need of psychiatric test.
“Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe delivered as Anambra East Local Government Chairman. He also delivered as SSA on Youth Mobilisation to the Governor. As the Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Political matters, he fetched the Governor 21 over 21 landmark victory in a governorship election. Authoritatively, I can say that the above mentioned abilities are enough proof of his capacity to deliver in any given assignment”, he said.
