The Transition Committee chairman, Idemili North Local Government Area,
Sir Stanley Nkwoka, on his first day in office, promised to run an administration built on transparency, accountability and ensure conservation of a healthy environment during his tenure.
He vowed to enhance infrastructural development, improve healthcare and primary education, promote economic growth, job creation and conservation of the environment.
Nkwoka who also promised to foster community engagement and stakeholder participation and improve local security declared a state of emergency on waste management in his council area.
He reiterated his committment to engaging youths in community security and promoting youth empowerment and engagement, while also ensuring that cultism and restiveness would not be tolerated during his tenure.
He pledged to boost revenue generation in the council area by 100 percent.
