The Management and staff of the Transport Company of Anambra State (TRACAS) gathered in a spirit of camaraderie and gratitude as they marked the end of another successful year with festive celebrations at the company’s headquarters.
Leading the occasion, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chike S. Obiakor, presented each member of staff with a generous package comprising a bag of rice alongside cash allowances for additional condiments and ingredients to enrich their Christmas festivities. The gesture, which drew enthusiastic applause from the assembled workforce, underscored the management’s commitment to staff welfare and recognition of their contributions throughout the year.
In his address, Mr Obiakor expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for his unwavering support and visionary leadership, which has continued to propel the transport company towards greater operational excellence. He emphasised that the Governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare and institutional development has been instrumental in creating an enabling environment for the company to thrive.
The Managing Director further urged the workforce to sustain their exemplary performance and maintain their dedication to service delivery with undiluted commitment in the coming year. His remarks resonated deeply with the gathering, reinforcing the culture of excellence that has become synonymous with TRACAS operations.
Speaking, one of the employees expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management for their consistent care and consideration. “We are deeply thankful for this thoughtful gesture during this festive season. The management’s concern for our wellbeing goes beyond mere employment—it extends to our families and homes. This Christmas package will undoubtedly bring joy to our households, and we remain committed to reciprocating this kindness through diligent service and loyalty to this esteemed organisation,” the staff member remarked.
Adding his voice to the celebrations, the Manager, Mr Chukwudi Onuora, commended both the management, staff and all his colleagues for their exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the year. With evident sincerity, he offered prayers for divine blessings, asking God to preserve them all in good health and grant them continued prosperity in their endeavours. His words struck a chord with the gathering, further strengthening the bonds of fellowship within the organisation.
