President Ahmed Bola Tinubu at the G20 meeeting at Berlin, Germany, wooed German officials and investors to come and invest in Nigeria, promising them that Nigeria is the best investment destination in Africa.
In his Twitter handle (X) President Tinubu stated, “Today in Berlin, I had a series of insightful conversations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the G20 Compact with Africa Economic Conference and also met with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Our discussions centered on attracting German investment in Nigeria’s energy industry especially in natural gas and hydrogen production as well as in rail transportation. I also expressed my commitment to expediting the Siemens-supported Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) in Nigeria and highlighted other opportunities in processing solid minerals, agriculture, and automotive production.
At the G20 Compact with Africa Economic Conference, I addressed investors on local value chains and reiterated that our young, educated population are a crucial element for economic growth and key to attracting foreign investment.
