The Transition Committee chairman, Nnewi North Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, Engr. Chris Obiorah has declared days of projects commissioning in the LGA.
He said that in the days to follow, several projects already completed by his team, under the able leadership of the Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo would be commissioned, one after the other.
Today, Saturday, March 2, he commissioned a moribund borehole earlier done in connection with UNICEF. While cutting the tape, the TC chairman who reconstructed the borehole located at Obi Ezekwebelu Eziabubor, Nnewichi, Nnewi to a Solar-powered one, said that the Prof. Soludo led administration is currently executing several projects in the zone and encouraged the people to continue to support his government.
Engr. Obiorah while speaking on behalf of the Soludo government said that Nnewi in general and Nnewichi in particular are APGA people. He therefore urged the people to carry the good message of Prof. Soludo performance to every nook and cranny of the LGA.
In his speech, the Obi of Nnewichi, His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba said that water is life and whoever gives you water has given you life.
He said, “I applaud the Solution Governor for remembering us. He has given us water and has therefore given us life. Today, I reinstate that my people will continue to give him our maximum support which we had already demonstrated in the last election re-run.”
He urged the Governor through the TC chairman to always remember the Nnewichi people in all his developmental programmes. The Obi Nnewichi, said that Governor Soludo is performing wonderfully well and his people have enough reasons to always queue behind the solution governor.
Also speaking, the APGA vice chairman of the zone, Hon. Prince Jude Nwabueze said that APGA is a truthful party and does not engage in making frivolous promises. “APGA executes projects and you see them” he said. “They don’t engage in empty political grandstanding; whatever they said that they did or will do, are all verifiable.”
He emphasised that Eziabubor people are solidly behind Governor Soludo’s government.
