Fifteen students have emerged as finalists in the ongoing Aguata Local Government Area “Best Student Challenge”. The winner, will among other benefits receive scholarship worth N500,000.
The Transition Committee chairman of Aguata LGA and organiser of the challenge, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike who announced the result explained that forty-one students whose performances were outstanding after the first stage engaged in the second stage of the challenge centered on Creative Writing.
According to the TC chairman, in a statement issued by his media team, the fifteen best candidates selected as the finalists would be flown to Accra, Ghana, in April 2024, for an expository experience.
“Upon their return, they will engage in the final stage of the challenge and who ever emerges winner will go home with a scholarship worth ₦500,000 among other rewards,” it stated.
“The best fifteen were chosen as against ten earlier announced as the TC Chairman and his team are intentional with providing opportunities for as many students as possible.”
Meanwhile the programme is receiving aaccolades from different quarters because it aligns with Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’ agenda to make education affordable to Anambra State residents. Recall that Governor Soludo declared free education in public schools in the state and that has resulted in impressive enrolments in schools within the state.
