The Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) initiative launched by Anambra State governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is indeed yielding impressive results as different communities, groups and individuals have embraced it.
Few days ago, the people of Ebenesi in diaspora donated hospital equipment to the Ebenesi Health Centre as testament to the success of the PPCP initiative. The Mayor, Idemili South, Hon. (Mrs) Amaka Obi observed their donation underscores the growing acceptance and participation of communities and individuals in the initiative.
“The hospital equipment is an added advantage to the ones brought by the state government” she stated. “This gesture not only demonstrates the commitment of the community to improving healthcare services but also highlights the effectiveness of the PPCP model in mobilizing resources and support for development projects.”
Meanwhile, the PPCP approach is built on the principle of synergistic collaboration between the public, private, and community sectors. The approach recognizes that development is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of all stakeholders.
Moreover, Governor Soludo’s commitment to the PPCP initiative is evident in the renovations and upgrades of health centers across the state. As Hon. Amaka Obi noted, “Governor Soludo has renovated and upgraded all the health centers in the state” . This investment in healthcare infrastructure is a clear demonstration of the governor’s dedication to improving the lives of the people of Anambra State.
The PPCP initiative launched by Governor Soludo is a shining example of how collaborative efforts between the public, private, and community sectors can drive development and improve lives. As the people of Ebenesi in diaspora have demonstrated, community participation and support are essential to the success of development projects.
