Following the recent launch of Operation Udo Ga-Achi by the Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the state’s security initiative, is already yielding remarkable results.
Few hours ago, security forces uncovered and dismantled a notorious kidnappers’ den disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as “La Cruise Hotel,” located along the Onitsha-Owerri Road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
The raid revealed alleged chilling discoveries, including over 30 partitioned graves on the top floor of the building and a shrine allegedly used for criminal activities. The structure was promptly demolished to prevent its reuse as a hideout for criminal elements. This successful operation showcases the effectiveness of Governor Soludo’s security strategy, aimed at restoring peace and safety across Anambra State.
To further bolster the efforts of security operatives, also known as Agunechemba, Governor Soludo released a fleet of vehicles and cutting-edge AI-aided security gadgets to enhance surveillance and operational efficiency. These tools are part of the state government’s commitment to providing the resources needed to combat crime effectively. Security personnel have praised the support, noting that the advanced technology is already playing a critical role in tracking and apprehending criminals.
Members of the Oba community, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that they had long suspected the establishment’s involvement in criminal activities due to frequent sounds of gunfire at night. “We’ve always felt something wasn’t right with that place. The sounds of gunshots during odd hours were alarming,” one resident shared. “We are grateful to the state government and security operatives for finally putting an end to this menace.” The community applauded the government for living up to expectations and for taking decisive action to run criminals out of town.
