Anambra State Traders Sports Championship showcased exceptional talent and unity among traders across the state. The sports event, organized by the Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC) and the Anambra State Amalgamated Market Traders Association (ASMATA), featured 118 markets competing in various sports.
It aligns with Governor Soludo’s administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises across all sectors, including sports. His vision is to make Anambra State a livable and prosperous smart mega city, and initiatives like this sports championship are crucial in promoting unity, talent, and economic growth.
The competition was a resounding success, with the Bridgehead Market football team emerging as winners and receiving a cash prize of N6 million. Building Materials Market, Ogbunike, secured third place and a cash prize of N1.5 million, while Oraeri Market, as runners-up, received N3 million. Individual winners in other sports events were also rewarded for their outstanding performances.
As we celebrate this achievement, it is clear that Soludo’s administration remains committed to his five pillars of development: Security, Law and Order; Infrastructure and Economic Transformation; Human Capital and Social Agenda; Governance and Value System; and Environment.
He believes that by investing in the people, infrastructure, and economy, he could create a brighter future for all Anambra citizens.
One looks forward to seeing more initiatives like this that promote unity, talent, and economic growth in our state.
