Ndi Odogwu in Anam, vigilante groups and other security operatives have called on residents of Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State to go about their legal businesses without fear of any form. They vowed to deal ruthlessly with anyone who engages in criminality in the area.
A source confirmed that the security operatives who have taken charge, have also mounted checkpoints on various links and roads leading to AnambraWest LGA to tightly control the criminal activities of hoodlums, following the sit-at-home order issued by Simon Ekpa.
Earlier, the Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Soludo ordered that the sit-at-home order must not be obeyed and any criminal using such opportunity to engage in or perpetrate any criminality will be dealt with mercilessly.
Following on that, the Transition Committee chairman, Hon. Felix Ikechi has called on indigenes and residents of Anambra West Local Government to go about their legal duties and businesses as adequate security preparation had been made, to deal with any criminal incidents.
In an interaction with one of the chief security operatives, it was learnt that the operatives have being thoroughly searching the entire Anambra West, particulaly, the alleged camps of some criminals; adding that the criminals have been dislodged.
The operative who does want to be named, applauded the people who have being supporting them with finance and logistics. He urged others to contribute as well, while praying for God’s multiple blessings on the old and the would be new contributors.
