Senator Ngige’s Advice for kinetic and non-kinetic Approach on Tackling Insecurity Aligns with Governor Soludo’s tactics

The recent statement by Senator Chris Ngige, former governor of Anambra State and ex-Minister of Labour and Employment, on the need for a dual approach to tackle insecurity, resonates with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision for Anambra State. Ngige’s advice, which emphasizes the importance of combining kinetic and non-kinetic strategies to address the menace, aligns with Governor Soludo’s initiatives aimed at creating a safer and more prosperous Anambra State.

According to Ngige, the government needs to adopt a two-pronged approach to tackle insecurity. On one hand, the government should provide better equipment and logistics to support security agents in their efforts to tackle insecurity. This kinetic approach is essential in dealing with the immediate threats posed by criminal groups. On the other hand, the government should also focus on addressing the root causes of insecurity, such as poverty and lack of opportunities, through non-kinetic strategies.

Ngige’s emphasis on providing employment opportunities and skills training to young people is particularly noteworthy. He noted that many young people are often targeted for recruitment by criminal groups due to lack of hope and opportunities. By providing them with employment and skills training, the government can help to reduce the appeal of criminal groups and create a safer and more prosperous society.

This approach aligns with Governor Soludo’s “one youth, two skills” initiative, which aims to empower young people with the skills and resources needed to secure better futures for themselves. By addressing the root causes of insecurity, such as poverty and lack of opportunities, Governor Soludo’s initiatives and Ngige’s advice share a common goal: to create a safer and more prosperous Anambra State.

Furthermore, Governor Soludo’s recent call to criminals to give up or face consequences also aligns with Ngige’s advice. By providing an opportunity for criminals to surrender and reform, the government can help to reduce the number of criminals and create a safer society. At the same time, the government’s commitment to dealing decisively with those who refuse to surrender sends a strong message that crime will not be tolerated in Anambra State.

By combining kinetic and non-kinetic strategies, addressing the root causes of insecurity, and providing opportunities for criminals to surrender and reform, the government can create a safer and more prosperous Anambra State.

Meanwhile, responsible Anambra people should offer suggestions and criticize Governor Chukwuma Soludo constructively, rather than outright condemnation. As the fifth Governor of Anambra State, Soludo has made notable efforts in various sectors.

Constructive criticism and suggestions from the people could help Soludo’s administration address specific challenges and improve overall governance. This collaborative approach can foster a sense of ownership and responsibility among Anambra people, ultimately contributing to the state’s development.

By working together, Anambra State can continue to thrive under Soludo’s leadership, building on his vision for a safer, more prosperous, and economically vibrant state.
