The Anambra State Government has successfully concluded the 2025 Executive Council Retreat, held on January 13, 2025, at Awka. The retreat tagged “Changing Gear – Accelerating the Execution of the Solution Agenda in 2025,” brought together members of the State Executive Council, Mayors of the 21 Local Government Areas, and other critical stakeholders.
Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, delivered a comprehensive review of the administration’s progress, celebrating key achievements while identifying areas requiring improvement. The governor emphasized the need for synergy and collective action among all stakeholders to drive the state’s development agenda effectively.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, Ph.D., a key resolution from the retreat was the finalization of plans for the launch of “Operation Udo Ga-Achi,” a robust security initiative aimed at safeguarding lives and property across Anambra State. The operation, which aligns with the Soludo administration’s Solution Agenda, will be officially launched in the coming week.
“Operation Udo Ga-Achi” represents a transformative approach to security, combining community policing, intelligence-driven operations, and strategic collaborations with security agencies and community stakeholders. This initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring peace and security for all residents and visitors.
Additionally, the retreat featured detailed presentations and discussions on critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development. Actionable strategies were developed to address challenges, harness opportunities, and accelerate growth across these sectors.
The 2025 ANSEC Retreat reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to deliver on its vision of a livable and prosperous Anambra State. With the imminent launch of “Operation Udo Ga-Achi,” Anambra is set to experience a new era of peace, security, and sustainable development.
