A broadcaster and author, Mr. Odikpo Mmadubueze, has received an Award of Excellence as the South East Broadcaster of the year. The event which held at Fonas Hotel Okpanam Delta State was hosted by AA Special Ushers Companies Limited.
Speaking at the event, a traditional ruler, Igwe Chukwudi Okoye said the award recipient; Mr. Mmadubueze had distinguished himself in the broadcast world. He said he had been following Mmadubueze’s educative, informative and entertaining programmes at Odenigbo FM. Speaking more about Mmadubueze innovations, he said that many Nigerians lack total commitment in discharge of their duties unlike Mmadubudze; adding that hard work pays off.
Also in his speech, the father of the occasion, Chief Osita Clement described the award as a meritorious one. He noted that it was after a vote was cast among many broadcasters mentioned in the Southeast that the recipient was chosen, having scored 2800 votes above other contestants for the award. Chief Osita explained that Mmadubueze was already a brand and that was why he was also chosen as the Brand Ambassador of AA Special Ushers Companies Limited. He stated that choosing Odikpo would add more value to the company.
Similarly, a lawyer, Godwin Onyeka who said that although Mmadubueze has been his boy, because he was one of the persons who inspired Mmadubueze to go to school, he became a fan of Odenigbo FM because of the innovative ways the recipient presents his programmes at the radio station. He prayed God Almighty to bless Mmadubueze and his family in Jesus name Amen.
