Chief Chinedu Obidigwe and Chief Primus Odili have refuted the video making rounds on the social media, linking them to a visit to idol.
The Okeosisi Media Team, in a statement explained that Obidigwe seeking re-election to the House of Representatives and Odili seeking to represent Anambra North at the Red Chambers are staunch Catholics and have never engaged in any diabolic practice. The team described the video as the handiwork of desperate politicians and their hirelings. The statement reads: “The attention of Chief Primus Odili and that of Hon Chinedu Benjamin Obidigwe has been drawn to another character assassinating report in the social media sponsored by the so called “desperados” where they invoke all kinds of lies and falsehood against the duo of Obidigwe and Odili’s genuine and impeccable aspiration.
“It is on record that ever since the inception of this political journey that Obidigwe and Odili have remained calm , focused and genuinely concentrated on issue based politics and have never for any day castigated anyone despite series of provocations. Obviously, these desperate set of people have tried everything within their powers to smear the character and integrity of Hon Odili and Hon Obidigwe to no avail. They have paid huge sum of money to have the duo disqualified and told their followers that they must retire the duo by hook or crook. They invited the Aguleri traditionalists and the custodian of Ajani Aguleri to their home and demanded that they should do fetish something to ensure that Hon Primus Odili and Hon Chinedu Obidigwe are disqualified or that they step down but it failed. They tried to induce the Aguleri Royal Cabinet, Ndi Ichie Aguleri, Ndi Ojiana Aguleri and the ruling council to persuade Primus Odili to step down for them. Unfortunately their cheap blackmail and desperate efforts were turned down. This latest video may not be unconnected with the mischief makers and their desperate attempt to smear the person of Hon Primus Odili and Hon Chinedu Obidigwe.
“Let it be stated clearly and unequivocally too that Hon Primus Odili and Hon Chinedu Obidigwe are unapologetically CATHOLICS. They are God fearing Catholics and they put all their trust in God. God has never failed them in anything and they have No reason whatsoever to recourse to fetishism. Chinedu Obidigwe and Primus Odili are God fearing who has never visited any native doctor since they were born till today for anything including politics , it is important to observe that the support they have been gaining from the people is as a result of goodwill, philanthropism, fear of God and love of Neighbour. Our desperate politicians must understand that good behavior works like magic. They must understand that GREED is a vice and kills like deadly disease.
“It is only a stranger in Anambra politics with blind mind who doesn’t know that these desperate politicians with one leg in APGA and the other in PDP and YPP are the ones perpetrating evils against Hon Chinedu Obidigwe and Hon Primus Odili using their diabolic means. They have failed to understand that one with God is a majority and that no weapon formed against the children of God shall prosper.
“When the desprados met with the elders in Aguleri, the Igwes and the Ojiana demanding that Hon Primus Odili must Step down, they told a lot of lies against Hon Primus Odili, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe and a few others. Little did they know that they are not talking to fools. They failed in their efforts and like they boasted, they can never let go. They have continued to manufacture and invent new ways to tarnish the image and personality of the duo but God will continue to shame them. After telling their series of lies, they cannot defend the aspiration of the second senatorial aspirant from Ogbunike by name , Sam Onwuteaka who is also contesting for the same Senate in Anambra North , if Primus is to step down, why are they not calling for Sam Onwuteaka from Ogbunike to also step down since they will be contesting from the same village and even the same polling booth. The elders concluded that everyone should go into the contest and test their popularity in an environment of issue based politics devoid of any form of character assassination, name calling , propaganda and hate speeches, ever since the accord was reached, the Obidigwe and Odili campaign structure has continued to carry out their civic obligation and political engagements in a fair and unbiased manner.
“This is because in their belief, in politics there is no parmanent enemy and there is no parmanent friend rather what is parmanent is interest. We would have also appreciated if these desperate politicians who wants to remain in power perpetually to the detriment of their subjects should also embrace this paradigm shift and give peace a chance as popularity and influence is not gained through propaganda, name calling, mischief making etc but through good reputation, charisma and attitude.
“At this point, we wish to state categorically that the camp of HON. CHINEDU OBIDIGWE AND HON. PRIMUS ODILI CAN NEVER DESCEND AS LOW AS SEEKING HELP FROM THE IDOL. The people know Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe and Hon Primus Odili as very good people. Trusting in God, they do not need to make extra ordinary efforts to win the people. Hon Primus Odili and Hon Chinedu Obidigwe discuss ideas and principles towards promoting peace, love , unity and development in Anambra North and Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in particular and as such urge the prospective delegates in the zone and the good people of Anambra North to remain calm and peaceful and vote their conscience as the APGA primaries approaches.”
