It has been flood of joy and praises, as a former House of Representatives member, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe goes about doing good, touching and changing the lives of the downtrodden, through his newly launched, “Akaoma Heart-to-Heart Initiative”.
At the launch of the initiative on September 8, 2024, several indigenes benefited. Some of them are Mrs Anthonia Egwuatu from Eziagulu Aguleri; Janet Ikegbunem from Igboezunu Aguleri and Mrs Theresa Ofura from Ikem Nando, among others. They were given palliative that included food and household items like foam etc.
In his words of praise and prayer, Ven. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Onovo, the founder of Ven. Emma Dabere Ik. Onovo Widows and less-privileged Foundation, said: “As Akaoma Heart-to-Heart Initiative, continues to spread love and compassion, we celebrate his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
“May his selfless efforts inspire others to join forces and create a ripple effect of kindness that resonates throughout Anambra State and beyond.”
Mmili Doledo, goes philosophical, “His name is Chinedu which means that God is leading him. ‘Akaoma I am not surprised; this has always been your dream. Your generations yet unborn, will never ever beg for bread. God isn’t done with you yet! That very strong force that pushes you will see you through, Amen!”
Also reacting to Obidigwe’s good deeds, Okwute Aguleri said, “Aka-Oma Jide Aku is one in a million that loves human development. To invest in humans, is the best investment ever; showing love and care to the less privileged and destitute.May God continue to make away for him, Otimkpili.”
Giving insights about Heart-to-Heart Initiative, the Special adviser to Obidigwe on Media and Publicity, Chief Dominic Okagbue, said “This movement is powered by Hon. Chief Benjamin Chinedu Obidigwe, popularly known as Akaoma Jide Aku. The initiative is aimed at lifting the downtrodden in the society with specific focus on the less privileged people and communities in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.”
Okagbue explained that because of the high cost of transportation, “most of these beneficiaries may not be able to make it to a designated location for sharing parliative. Therefore, Obidigwe and his team decided to deliver these items to their doorsteps of the people. He assured that it will soon reach areas that have not being reached.”
