… celebrates his wife at her birthday

Renowned gospel reggae artist, Buchi has narrated how one careless escapade almost cost him the opportunity to marry his God-sent wife.
Buchi who is celebrating his wife at her birthday narrated how the intervention of a certain aunty restored his courtship and led to a happy pmarriage that has lasted over three decades.
He started the birthday message in a poetic manner.
“When God made man,
His greatest gift to him was a woman.
To every Adam, his Eve
Not to lure and deceive
But together in love to abide
And abound !!
“I nearly blew this relationship shortly after it began.
I had gone frolicking with the boys and, by morning, the house was full of girls; rough, happy-go-lucky girls!
Smoke and alcohol filled the air. (Austin Adeyemi and Tunji Eko will not kill me)
Then came this knock on the door and who did I see? My fiancé walked in with her friend! She came to show off her newfound love to her friend.
“Unfortunately, I was in a sorry state, red-eyed and tipsy. There was no denying that we had been up to no good.
To make matters worse, upon seeing my fiancé and her friend, these silly girls began to wag their tails around, puffing their cigarette recklessly, all to show that they were in charge.
“Of course, my fiancé left with her friend, embarrassed and disappointed.
I’d blown a lifetime relationship because of this one careless escapade. As we say in pidgin English, “I don drink Kai kai go troway Schnapp”.
“A few minutes later, another knock on the door and when I opened, it was my fiancé again, this time alone. She returned to sit there and take what belonged to her! She wasn’t going to walk away and throw away a lifetime opportunity.
Of course, she won.
“The silly girls left and she got back her prodigal lover. Thanks to Mama Mazoya (Rest her soul) who talked her into going back to take was rightfully hers.
Now see what’s become of that union! Over three decades and four great children.
“Happy birthday to you, Jane!”
