Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has appointed Mr. Joachin Chinedum Achor as the Acting Accountant General of Anambra State, effective immediately.
The appointment was announced Thursday in a statement signed by Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to the Governor.
Mr. Achor’s career progressed from entry-level positions through the ranks to Director, then Permanent Secretary, before his current appointment as Acting Accountant General.
Meanwhile, the Accountant General serves as the state’s chief financial officer, overseeing government expenditures, revenue collection, and financial reporting across all ministries, departments, and agencies.
The appointment comes as Anambra State continues implementing various fiscal reforms and development initiatives under the Soludo administration.
