Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has warmly congratulated Mr. Mark Okoye on his confirmation by the Senate as the pioneer Managing Director of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) following a rigorous screening process.
In a goodwill message, signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described Mr. Okoye’s appointment—following his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR—as a testament to his outstanding leadership qualities, dedication to public service, and remarkable track record. These attributes were evident during his tenure as the MD/CEO of the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) and his time as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Anambra State.
The governor expressed his confidence that Mr. Okoye’s extensive expertise in investment banking and public service will drive impactful development initiatives across the Southeast region in his new role at the SEDC.
Governor Soludo also commended President Tinubu for this well-deserved appointment, which underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting balanced development across all regions of Nigeria.
Additionally, the Governor extended his congratulations to the Chairman and Members of the governing board of the SEDC, who were also confirmed by the Senate, expressing optimism about the positive contributions they will collectively make to the Commission’s objectives.
He wished Mr. Okoye and the entire board unparalleled success in steering the SEDC toward achieving its mission of transforming the Southeast region.
