Former Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife were arrested in UK while allegedly planning to harvest the kidney of an underaged homeless child for their ailing 15-year- old daughter. According to reports, Ekweremmadu and his wife had promised the child a better life and taken the homeless child to UK with falsified information.
The report stated that the Ekweremmadus took the child to UK from Nigeria without obtaining proper consent of the child and providing correct information which are against UK law made in May, 2022.
They were however arrested, detained and denied bail by UK Magistrate’s court.
