Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar-Farouk, is now at the office of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for interrogations. She is there to meet with interrogators over an ongoing probe into the N37,170,855,753.44 allegedly laundered during her tenure in office, through a contractor, James Okwete.
In her tweet at about 10:20 am, the former Minister wrote: “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating,”
The former Minister’s office is alleged to have “Used about $5m to feed school children while they were at home during COVID 19.
“Used over $7m to train about 177 youths on mobile phone repairs not manufacturing; shared money to People without records.”
