Popular Afrobeats musician, Davido has apologised to his teeming fans over his inability to show up for an event scheduled in Warri, Delta State.
Davido said he had told the show promoters that he wouldn’t make it, but they continued promoting the show with his name.
Davido tells his side of story after being called out by Amaju Pinnick for not coming despite being paid. The former Nigeria Football Federation president had alleged to have paid Davido thousands of dollars with an additional fee for his flight to the venue, however he failed to show up.
Davido, who had earlier lambasted him by recalling his reprobate past, has delivered an explanation to fans who had paid exorbitant fee and expecting to see him. According to Davido, he had informed the show organizers months ahead that he couldn’t make it physically. Although, for some reasons they kept promoting the show with his name.
Davido promised to bring his A game to his fans in the state soon, assuring them that it’d be bigger and better.
He wrote: “To my lovely fans in Warri that spent their hard earned money to come out. Apologies you had to experience this. I was not going to be physically able to make it and this had been communicated to ‘them’ for a longgggg while now I mean MONTHS ago but for reasons best known to them, they continued to promote the show using my name.
“It’s a shame. But specially for my fans out there, don’t worry, you know I gotta bring Timeless to Delta State. We will do it proper, bigger and better !”
