The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, has restated the State Government’s respect for traditional rulers, assuring them that Governor Soludo’s administration the State holds them in high esteem.
Hon. Nwabunwanne who at a meeting between the Governor and the traditional rulers clarified some of the issues leading to the suspension of a traditional ruler and query of two others. He assured them that it was all in the spirit of ensuring law and order in the State.
While highlighting the concerns of some traditional rulers over the composition of members of the Traditional Rulers Council, he stated that such concerns and similar issues were being looked into by the government.
He informed the traditional rulers that Soludo’s administration looks forward to a cordial working relationship with them.
