Chief Simeon Mbanugo (SAO) who died at the age of 83 is set for burial.

According to the family, the Christian wake-keep will hold on April 2, 2024, being Easter Tuesday, with a vigil mass by 5pm at his country home, Umunechukwu kindred, Uhualor village in Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State.
On April 3, there will be a brief stop over at his residence in Omagba phase 1, Onitsha. Lying-in-state follows immediately, thereafter.
The funeral mass which will start at 10am will be at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Eke Ihembosi. Thereafter, interment and condolences will follow.
Sunday, April 7, will be the outing service.
Meanwhile, Chief Mbanugo before his death, was a staunch and devoted Catholic. As a man of peace, he participated actively in activities that would uplift humanity. He holds traditional title. He was happily married and blessed with 10 children, amongst which is Mrs Ifeyinwa Obi
