The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mazi Ejimofor Opara, has berated Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso, for criticizing Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
In a statement, Opara accused Ebube Muonso of criticizing Governor Soludo wrongly, instead of offering constructive solutions to his perceived challenges facing Anambra State.
“It is very easy for everyone to complain when the cookie crumbles,” Opara said. “However, the question no one cares to answer is, ‘who built/made the crumbling cookie?’ I am sure those who purchased the flour might just be blaming those who made the dough. Just like those who arranged the cookie on a faulty foundation might just be blaming those who baked the cookie.”
Opara argued that Ebube Muonso’s criticism was unfair and unhelpful, and that the cleric should focus on providing solutions rather than trading blames.
“What is unfortunate the most is how we are more bothered as a people about trading blames than working to get the big elephant in the room away,” Opara said. “In a sane and true Catholic society, a priest in the mold of the ‘uke’ aberration entrepreneur should be sent to the monastery for total reparation.”
Opara also criticized Ebube Muonso for being a mercantile Priest, more interested in making money from his congregation rather than preaching the true gospel to them.
“Rather than deploy the alter to cleanse their minds using the light of the gospel, the mercantile Priest is more interested in sustaining his business and political interests, knowing that the light of the true gospel if preached to his ignorant multitude would liberate their minds and make him lose his followership by, at least, 75%,” Opara said. “Your pocket is far more valuable to him than your soul.”
