Assistant National Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) South East, Sir Ojukwu Obakasi, received blessings and a charge from the Umuoba Anam, during Otite Anam Celebration held in Awka over the weekend.
Otite is a celebration and thanksgiving for a successful farming season.
The event, which Obakasi described as “joyful, inspiring and emotional,” saw his maternal kinsmen, Agu Anam formally charging him to “go forth and do exploits in human development and public service.”
“Ndi Ikwunne m, I thank you very much,” Obakasi said, expressing gratitude to his maternal relatives.
The blessing comes several years after Obakasi was conferred with the traditional title of Osisioma Anam by Igwe George Ekwealor, Obagu II, the traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam.
In his official capacity, Obakasi plays key roles in the communication strategy of the party across the southeast region.
