Anambra West indigenes residing in Delta State will gather for a crucial town hall meeting on Sunday, October 12, 2025, to address concerns about declining voter registration numbers in the local government area.

Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Chief Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne,
will host the meeting scheduled for 12 noon at the Hall of Celebration on Okpanam Road, Asaba.

The venue is located immediately after Topview Hotel, before Police Headquarters, for those coming from Interbua roundabout.

According to meeting organizers, the gathering will focus on measures to strengthen the voting capacity of Ndi Anam and Anambra West communities, which officials say has declined in recent times.

Anambra West is a Local Government Area with its headquarters located at Nzam.

Village chairmen from all eight communities in Anam are expected to attend with their members, alongside residents from Asaba, Okpanam, Okwe, Ogwuashi Ukwu, Isele Azagba, Ugbolu and surrounding areas in Delta State.

Anambra West Local Government Area includes Igala-speaking people among its population, reflecting the diverse composition of the local government area.

The meeting represents part of ongoing efforts to mobilize diaspora communities and strengthen political participation among Anambra West indigenes living outside their home state.

Community leaders have urged all eligible participants to attend promptly as critical decisions affecting the political future of Anambra West will be discussed.

    Date: Sunday, October 12, 2025
