In furtherance of the Solution Agenda, the administration of the Transition Committee chairman of Anambra West LGA, Hon. Felix Ikechi has started in full swing the construction of a Jetty at Umueze Anam river bank.
Following this development, the river bank where boats and canoes land is now closer to the place officially designated as motor park by the local government area authority.
The objective is to ease the suffering of trekking far distance, sometimes with heavy loads, from the old river bank, to the designated motor park. It will also resolve the regular face-off between the host community, canoe and Okada operators.
Most importantly, the Anambra West Integrated Development Strategy is in tandem and a major part of Governor Chukwuma Soludo development strategies. Soludo administration’s focus lies in untiring commitment to key pillars of development: security, law and order, infrastructure and economic transformation, human capital development, governance reforms, and a sustainable environment.
