Senator Tony Nwoye, representing Anambra North Senatorial zone, is the one who facilitated the construction of a 1.6km dual carriage internal access road to the University on The Niger. This significant investment in the university’s infrastructure has transformed the institution and addressed a major problem that has plagued the university for years.
According to Senator Nwoye, the university owned and managed by the Anglican Diocese of Nigeria under the leadership of Rev Dr Owen Nwokolo had no good access road despite being approved by the Federal Government. The lack of a proper access road had hindered the university’s growth and development.
Senator Nwoye’s intervention has changed the face of the institution, with the completed road project connecting the administrative block, lecture halls, school auditorium, hostels, library, and other facilities within the university.
The senator expressed his gratitude to God for making the project a reality, emphasizing the significant impact it will have on the university community. This project is a testament to Senator Nwoye’s commitment to improving the lives of his constituents and investing in the development of Anambra State.
