Anambra State commissioners, former House of Representatives member, many other dignitaries, today paid condolence to the family of late staunch member of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Okafor Boniface Anakpulu.
Some of the dignitaries are the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Tonycollins Nwabunwanne; Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka; former representative of Anambra East/West Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly; Transitional Committee chairman, Anambra West LGA, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor and Chief Jacob Udoba, Ebubedike Anam.
In their brief speech, they collectively consoled the family, urging them to sustain his excellent legacies and bear the irreparable loss because late Chief Okafor was a man of the people and an active member of APGA.
Late Okafor was born on March 1, 1960 in Oroma Etiti, Anambra West LGA, Anambra State.
He attended Hope Rising Primary School, Oroma Etiti Anam and Modebe Memorial Secondary school, Onitsha. His passion for the round leather game, football earned him the nickname, “Pele”.
He is survived by Mrs Uzoamaka Okafor, nee Uchebo, former Transition Committee chairman, Anambra West LGA, children, children and many relatives.
