All roads, today, Wednesday, 17th September 2025 lead to Nzam
as Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, visits Anambra West Local Government Area for the commissioning of landmark projects and inspection of ongoing works.
According to an official invitation signed by the Executive Chairman of Anambra West LGA, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor, the governor, will commission the newly completed Mmiata Anam–Nzam Secretariat Road, a strategic route linking the council headquarters to surrounding communities. He will also visit Otupu Market, Mmiata Anam, before proceeding to inspect the Nzam Bridge, a transformative project under construction that is expected to significantly enhance economic and social connectivity in the riverine council.
The event, scheduled to hold at the Anambra West Local Government Secretariat by 9:00 am, is already being described as “a landmark occasion in the history of Anambra West,” given the significance of these projects to the lives of residents.
Governor Soludo’s administration has consistently prioritised rural infrastructure in hard-to-reach areas such as Anambra West, which are often cut off during the rainy season due to flooding and poor road conditions. The completed Mmiata Anam–Nzam Secretariat Road will ease transportation for civil servants, traders, and farmers, while the Nzam Bridge, once completed, is expected to be a game-changer that will open up Anambra West to commerce, trade, and faster access to neighbouring LGAs.
Hon. Nnazor noted that the people of Anambra West are fully set to welcome Governor Soludo in their numbers, stressing that the projects are tangible evidence of his commitment to inclusive development across the state, especially in riverine areas long neglected in the past.
Party stakeholders, government appointees, and representatives from across the LGA are also expected to grace the event, further underscoring its significance as a unifying moment for the people of Anambra West.
The governor’s visit forms part of his wider programme of commissioning completed projects across Anambra while inspecting ongoing ones to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
