The “Adorable Ladies for Ife Anam,” a grassroots mobilization group founded by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Chief TonyCollins Nwabunwanne, has declared its readiness to participate in Saturday’s solidarity rally in support of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election bid.
The women’s group, established to galvanize community-level backing for the governor, will join other support organizations converging for what is expected to be a massive demonstration of solidarity ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Lady Chinyere Mmoya, the leader of “Adorable Ladies for Ife Anam”, expressed the group’s excitement about participating in the rally, describing it as a meaningful way to align with the leadership of Commissioner Nwabunwanne in promoting Governor Soludo’s achievements across Anambra State. She said their participation was not just political but also a commitment to sustaining the progress the Soludo administration has brought to the grassroots.
Commissioner Nwabunwanne has remained steadfast in his grassroots engagements, often sacrificing personal celebrations to focus on service to the people. His visible contributions to advancing APGA’s philosophy of “onye aghana nwanne ya” (let no one be left behind) have included giving of vehicles and other material to communities and party members across his constituency.
Nwabunwanne’s leadership model and engagements have helped deepen the reach of Governor Soludo’s transformation agenda, particularly in interventions involving traditional institutions, communities, and the party.
Saturday’s rally is coming at a time of growing momentum for Governor Soludo’s re-election bid. Recently, sixty support groups with over 120,000 members collectively presented N30 million to support the governor’s second-term campaign. Governor Soludo, who emerged unopposed in the APGA primary election with over 300 votes, continues to enjoy widespread grassroots acceptance.
The mobilization of groups like the “Adorable Ladies for Ife Anam” reflects APGA’s broader strategy of consolidating unity and building strong grassroots structures as the election approaches. Lady Mmoya emphasized that the group’s involvement in the rally is both a show of loyalty to the Commissioner and a demonstration of their unwavering confidence in Governor Soludo’s leadership.
As preparations peak for the solidarity rally, participants from across the state are expected to converge in what promises to be a major display of political strength and unity. The event will further reaffirm APGA’s deep connection with ordinary citizens and strengthen the momentum for Governor Soludo’s re-election bid.
Saturday’s rally is set to be a significant display of solidarity, marking another defining moment as Anambra prepares for the crucial governorship election later this year.
