MacPee

The Labour Party candidate for Anambra East/West Federal Constituency House of Representatives, Chief Peter Udeogalanya Aniekwe, was not born with a silver spoon and has never held a government appointment. Everything he owns in life was acquired through hard-work and God’s grace. Today, MacPee does not only dine and wine with the “mighty and caliber”, but he is also one of them.

Aniekwe, popularly known as Macpee was born on May 5, 1970, to Chief Stephen and IYOM (Mrs) Christiana Aniekwe. His father, Aniekwe, is the son of Onuorah Akata from Umuojechi kindred, Umuoje in Oroma Etiti Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State while his mother hails from Okoye Adaba family, Umuogwu in Umuikwu Anam, same Anambra West as the father.

Macpee has several chieftancy titles which include: Mmilinaliugwu Omabala, Eze Ndi Avomma Anambra etc which are proof of his many achievements and philanthropies in life.

The Labour Party candidate, Hon. Aniekwe, started his primary school education at Obi Anazonwu (Now Holy Trinity) Primary School, Onitsha and  later moved to Community Primary School, Mmiata Anam where he wrote and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1984.

As fate would have it, Macpee didn’t proceed to secondary school to continue his education due to circumstances beyond his control, at the time. But as a determined youngman, he started learning Iron Welding.

However, his father died in 1990, making it impossible for him to start the Iron Welding business. Determined never to give up, he moved on to learn another trade which is Freight Forwarding. He became a licensed Clearing Agent as they are known in local parlance; a business, he does so expertly that his name is a house-hold name among importers and known all over the Sea and Cargo airports in Nigeria.

Despite his busy schedule, Macpee never underrated the importance of education. As a private student, he enrolled, wrote and passed the General Certificate of Education (GCE) in 2008.

He also enrolled and studied Public Administration as a partime student (Festac Campus) and graduated in 2016 with Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Public Administration.

Today, Macpee has businesses with several employees in different states of the federation. His business spans into oil and gas; logistics; media; construction, etc. Specifically, he has under his Macpee Group of Companies, subsidiaries like: MACPEE AGENCIES LTD; MACPEE INVESTMENT NIGERIA LTD; JOSSING ENERGY LTD; MITHIA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LTD; PACRO MEDIA LTD; UDOPET NIGERIA LTD etc.

As a way of giving back to the society, Macpee engages in several philanthropies, which include: Sponsoring football competitions among the youths of Omabala; Offering scholarship to indigent children in Omambala; Renovation of dilapidated Schools; Assisting the schools and pupils in other areas of need; Helping the widows; Assisting the farmers; Assisting the Youths in their different businesses and many more.

He is a Christian and a member of Oguebigo Age Grade of Anam as well as several organizations. He is happily married with children.
