The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially released a provisional timetable and schedule of activities for the 2025 Anambra State Governorship Primary Election.

This decision, made by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) through its National Working Committee (NWC), is in line with the APGA Constitution 2019 and complies with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) timetable and schedule of activities for the election.

According to the notice signed by APGA’s National Organizing Secretary, Ifeanyi Mbaeri, the party has outlined specific guidelines for all aspirants interested in contesting the primary election. Notably, female aspirants and those living with disabilities will enjoy a concession, paying only 50 percent of the stipulated fees for the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.

The party has also made it clear that the forms can only be obtained through a non-refundable Bank Draft or Manager’s Cheque made payable to the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Abuja. Once completed, the forms must be submitted at the party’s National Secretariat along with proof of payment and all required supporting documents.

APGA further emphasized that it reserves the right to issue Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to credible and eligible aspirants at any time before the scheduled primary election. The party urged all intending aspirants to comply strictly with its electoral guidelines to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

While the timetable provides a framework for the primary election, the party acknowledged that the dates could be subject to change depending on circumstances surrounding the electoral process. However, any adjustments will be made in strict adherence to INEC’s schedule and regulations.

This announcement sets the stage for what is expected to be an intense and competitive race within APGA as aspirants position themselves for the opportunity to contest the Anambra governorship election in 2025.
