Nzam and Olumbanasa communities in Anambra West Local Government Area erupted in joy as the long-awaited reconstruction of the Odetameta Bridge commenced under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. The project, jointly undertaken by the Anambra State Government and the Anambra West LGA, is set to restore easy access to Nzam and surrounding areas, a development that residents say marks the beginning of a new era of progress for the riverine communities.

During a visit by government officials to inspect the project, the atmosphere was filled with celebration as men, women, and youth showered praises on Governor Soludo. Many described him as the best leader Anambra has ever had, affirming that he has no rival in the forthcoming gubernatorial election and will win by a landslide to continue his transformational agenda.

Leading the delegation was the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Community Affairs, Chief TonyCollins Nwabunwanne, alongside the Mayor of Anambra West LGA, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor, and his Deputy, Mrs. Nkiru Ndive. They were accompanied by top party leaders and stakeholders who emphasized Governor Soludo’s commitment to infrastructure development, particularly in rural areas that had long been neglected.

Speaking to the excited crowd, Chief Nwabunwanne reaffirmed the government’s dedication to ensuring that no part of Anambra is left behind in Soludo’s “Solution Agenda.” He emphasized that the governor’s policies are people-driven, with a focus on enhancing the livelihoods of all Anambrarians.

Hon. Nnazor, on his part, noted that Anambra West is witnessing unprecedented development under Soludo, and the reconstruction of the Odetameta Bridge is proof that the government listens to the people. He assured the communities that more projects would follow, further solidifying the LGA’s place in the governor’s developmental roadmap.

One elderly woman from Nzam expressed her overwhelming joy, saying, “We have suffered for years due to the bad state of this bridge. Our children could not easily go to school, farmers could not transport their produce, and health emergencies became a nightmare. But today, Soludo has wiped our tears. He is our messiah, and we will give him our full support in the coming election.”

Another community leader from Olumbanasa declared, “Governor Soludo is working like no other. He has no opponent in the election because his good works speak for him. With people like Chief Nwabunwanne and Mayor Nnazor working with him, Anambra West is finally on the path to real development.”

The event concluded with traditional dances, songs of gratitude, and renewed political support for Soludo’s re-election bid. Residents vowed to mobilize en masse to ensure his return to office, believing that continuity will bring more progress to Anambra State and their communities in particular.
