Sir Onwuanyi, one is compelled to respond to your open letter, which was written to mislead the public and divert attention from the real issues affecting Anambra State.
Firstly, your personal attacks, insults and accusations on the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor PhD., are unbecoming and do not address the substance of the issues at hand.
Your claim that the Commissioner lacks confidence to tell the Governor what the public wants, is a gross misrepresentation. The Commissioner has been doing an excellent job of communicating the Governor’s vision and policies to the public.
Your statement that the Governor and the Commissioner are characterized by “false messianic complex” and “falsehood” is also completely unfounded. The Governor has been working tirelessly to address the real challenges facing the state, and his administration has been built on transparency, accountability, and honesty.
On the security situation in Anambra State, you must be corrected that the Governor, Professor Soludo, has been working tirelessly to address the challenges. His administration has implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing security, including community policing, intelligence gathering, and collaboration with neighboring states.
Your claim that the Governor is not doing enough to address insecurity is also not supported by facts. The reality is that insecurity is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach, and the Governor is committed to finding lasting solutions.
Also, one finds it curious that you chose to attack the Governor’s administration instead of offering constructive suggestions or support. As a stakeholder in Anambra State, I expect more from you.
Furthermore, your assertion that the youths in Anambra State are idle and stranded due to lack of employment opportunities needs to be corrected. While it is true that unemployment is a challenge in the state, the Governor’s administration has been working hard to create jobs and empower the youths through various initiatives, including entrepreneurship training, skills acquisition programs, and infrastructure development.
Finally, one must express disappointment that you chose to make personal attacks on the Commissioner and the Governor instead of focusing on the real issues affecting the state. As a responsible citizen, one expected more from you.
Therefore, it is extremely important to refrain from spreading misinformation and to instead focus on contributing positively to the development of Anambra State.
