In a heartwarming display of commitment to education, Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has announced a significant transformation for his alma mater, Uga Boys Secondary School.
During his visit to the school, Prof. Soludo was overcome with nostalgia as he stood before the school’s cherished badge, reminiscing about the experiences that shaped his journey. As the first Pioneer Senior Prefect, he has a unique connection with the institution.
The governor’s announcement includes substantial investments in schools across the state, with Uga Boys Secondary School being one of the beneficiaries. Furthermore, Prof. Soludo has pledged to cover the fees for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for students at Uga Boys for the next five years.
This generous gesture demonstrates Prof. Soludo’s dedication to giving back to his alma mater and his belief in the transformative power of education. His commitment to ensuring that future generations of students have access to opportunities they deserve is truly commendable. As Prof. Soludo aptly puts it, “May Anambra continue to win.”
