The Mayor, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State, Hon. Emma Nweke has undertaken to build toilets and beef up security at the newly opened Ogbo Tomatoes market at Ogbunike toll gate.
The Mayor who congratulated the market leaders for building the market, said his undertaken was his administration’s way of appreciating and supporting the members of the Tomatoes Dealers Association under the leadership of Chief Nwobodo John Ifeanyi for their resilience in achieving the great milestone, irrespective of daunting challenges.
He said, “as part of our contributions to the market, Oyi Local Government Council will construct modern toilets in the market for the conveniences of both the traders and buyers.
“Also, we’re going to provide security at the market to ensure security and safety of everyone doing business within the market.
“To ensure the cleanliness of the market and it’s environs, we are going to work with the market leadership and Oyi Local Government waste managers in making sure that wastes from the market are constantly evacuated.
“As I welcome them to Oyi Local Government, I’m once more, thanking them for choosing Oyi as their permanent base and on behalf of the good people of Oyi, I promise that we are going to be great host.
“I congratulate the members of Tomatoes Dealers Association Anambra state for achieving this great milestone. It is in line with Governor Soludo’s solution agenda and his Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) model.”
