The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign team, today stormed the Ezi Anam communities of Umuenwelum, Oroma Etiti, Umudora and Umuikwu Anam, ahead of the local government election with the “solution is here” message.
Hon. Fidelis Nnazor and Mrs Edith Ndive, chairmanship and deputy chairmanship respectively, others for councillorship were at the event.
Some of the dignitaries in the tour are the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Matters, Chief Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, chairman, APGA, Anambra West, Mr. Romanus Egwuatu, APGA woman leader, Mrs Nneka Nwachigwe, other party leaders and faithful.
In his speech, Chief Nwabunwanne said that there is need to always have a collective agreement on what the community needs from those representing them in government. He emphasised the need to always accomodate the Igala people to ensure equity in Anambra West LGA.
In their speech, Dominic Okonkwo and Charles Nwabunwanne who spoke on behalf of Umuikwu and Umudora Anam said that the construction of Oroma Etiti to Onono road and separating Umuikwu and Umudora Anam as two separate communities in Anam are what they need most.
At Umuenwelum, Zonal leader, APGA Ezi Anam, Chief Osita Clement Okafor and former Anambra West chairman, Chief Simon Onuora appealed to Umuenwlum people to vote APGA to ensure continuation of the good works of the APGA led administration.
Former councillor, Umuenwelum, Chief Julius Agbata and several others denounced their membership of other parties and joined APGA.
The highpoint of the campaign was the gift of Shuttle bus given to Hon. Edwin Nnorka Likeness, PRO, APGA, Umuenwelum ward by Chief Nwabunwanne for being a consistent hardworking party person.
The campaign at Ezi Anam was concluded at Oroma Etiti, the hometown of Chief Nwabunwanne. While speaking, APGA chieftains, Chief Jacob Udoba and Chief Elias Akora urged the people to give full support to Governor Soludo by voting overwhelmingly for the party’s candidate in the LG election on Saturday, September 28.
