The member representing Anambra West Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Patrick Udoba, today, did not respond to enquiry about speculations on his alleged concluded plans to join All Progressives Congress (APC).
Udoba, popularly known as Ezego Anam is a high ranking officer of the Anambra State House of Assembly who was re-elected for second term on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Following the forthcoming Anambra State local government election, there has been speculation that Udoba may be nursing the ambition of becoming the elected chairman of Anambra West LGA but the arrangement in APGA did not favour his ambition, hence the alleged decision to decamp.
However, Hon. Udoba did not respond to enquiries sent to him directly by this newspaper, multichannels247.com. But his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Comrade Chukwuemeka David, emphatically stated that it was not true that his principal plans to decamp.
Chukwuemeka who didn’t want to say much queried, “Those rumour mongers, where were they during Anambra gubernatorial election in 2021, when the game was very tough, still Hon. Udoba didn’t leave the party.”
Meanwhile, some constituents are raising concerns that Hon. Udoba was no longer as engaging as he used to be during his first tenure; stating that much is not being heard about his political activities as a representative of the people.
One of the constituents opined that Udoba seem not to care again about whatever anyone feels, having been elected twice and may not be seeking any elective position again.
But another counted, saying he had it on good authority that Hon. Udoba is interested in representing Anambra East/West Federal constituency at the Green Chambers in 2027 and may be putting together his strategies, rightly or wrongly.
