The former Transition Committee chairman of Anambra East LGA, Dr. Anselm Onuora has received the “Best Transition Chairman on Project Implementation” award in Anambra State for 2023.
Dr. Onuora received the award today during the flag-off of the Local Government Service Commission week at Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka.
Expressing his joy, Dr. Onuora stated, “Today was a moment of great pride and gratitude as I was honoured with the “Best Transition Chairman on Project Implementation” award in Anambra State for 2023.
“I am overwhelmed with joy and humility, knowing that my efforts and achievements during my tenure as TC Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area have been recognized.”
The award recipient said the award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of his team. “I dedicate it to all the local government staff who tirelessly supported me in my duties” he said. “I am grateful to His Excellency, Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the opportunity to serve and I pledge to continue fighting for the people of Anambra East in any capacity.”
Onuora said the theme of the event “Value Rebirth through Digital Transformation” resonates deeply with him, alongside the speech by the keynote speaker, Mr Osita Chidoka on values that civil servants must practice to help contribute to progress and development in the society.
He said, “These messages are the fuel that drives our efforts, and I am committed to supporting all forms of development that benefits our people.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. I am truly honoured and blessed.”
