Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, today tasked civil servants on delivering value and being the change they want to see in their respective work places.
Governor Soludo who stated that two years after, his government was still working very hard to deliver on his promises made the comment during the flag-off of this year’s local government service commission week titled “Value Rebirth Through Digital Transformation: Solution ICT Agenda.”
The governor described the theme as apt and commended the leadership and members of the commission who toil every day to make the local government system work. He said that it was part of the process of rebuilding the public service from top to bottom and bottom to top; reminding the workers of their role of ensuring it cascades down.
The governor assured the workers that as soon as the negotiations about minimum wage was concluded and passed into law by the federal government, the implementation committee set up by his administration would look into it.
Governor Soludo who lamented that sadly, the present society is one where most people want something for nothing tasked the workers on delivering value while assuring to continue to make the local government system in the state to be financially viable.
The week-long event kicked off at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre, Awka.
