Transition Committee chairman, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State, Hon. Anayo Orjiako, Tuesday, April 16 organised intensive training for farmers.
The comprehensive seminar was aimed at training farmers on modern method of yam And maize cultivations. About 120 participants from the 20 wards of Ihiala LGA participated in the training which covered both theory and practical sessions.
To achieve the set objectives for the seminar, local and international resource persons were engaged. They taught the participants enough for them to also teach others and disseminate knowledge across board. To cap it all, take-off seedlings and certificates of participation were issued to the participants.
The TC chairman, Hon. Orjiakor in his brief speech stated that the seminar is one of the vital transformation agenda in breaking the jinx of perennial human capital underdevelopment in his domain; adding that all the efforts are geared towards achieving the Solution Agenda of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
He restated that “Solution is here!”
