Transition Committee chairman, Ekwusigo Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, Mr. Chimezie Obi has commenced an on-the-spot inspection of all the public primary schools in the LGA.

The council boss was accompanied on the inspection visit by the councilors and head of service, Ekwusigo LGA. Already, they have visited Central Primary School, Eke and Umuabor Primary School, Ihembosi to check the state of affairs and other activities to ensure they align properly with the solution agenda of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo which are targeted towards making education accessible to every child in the state.
The TC chairman used the opportunity to address basic issues that would ensure the school children learn in a conducive environment with adequate resource materials. He commended the head teacher of Umuabor Primary School for being meticulous and well organized in taking care of the pupils.
To encourage the pupils for greater performance, the TC chairman promised to offer scholarship to the best pupil up to higher institution level. He reminded them of the achievements of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in the education sector, how he employed eight thousand teachers and declared free education.
Meanwhile, the TC chairman called on critical stakeholders, especially in the mission schools to sit up and do the needful to give the children the necessary formation they need at this stage of their life. He, however, warned that mission schools that fail to comply with the appropriate standards will face the consequences.
