The Transition Committee chairman, Aguata Local Government Area, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, Friday, visited one of the designated Information and Communications Technology (ICT) hubs to be used for the 2024 Aguata JAMB Preparatory Programme.
In a statement issued by his media office, the hub which also caters for other ICT activities and located in Amesi, Aguata LGA was fully furnished with internet facilities by a UK-BASED philanthropist, Ichie Martin Sixtus Ezejimofo. The objective is for the development of Aguata youths in the area of Information and Communications Technology.
The statement noted that plans are in the final stage to kick-start the JAMB Preparatory exercise which will include a mock examination for the students in the LGA, adding that it is aimed at getting many of the students admitted into higher institution.
“The TC chairman and his team are intentional with encouraging Aguata youths in educational pursuits because they strongly believe that indeed, education is light” it stated.
