There is palpable joy in Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State as Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commenced the construction of 10.95km road in the area.

The people are elated because the Solution Governor is matching words with action by commencing the construction of the road that will connect Mmiata Anam and other communities to Nzam.
A post in one of the popular social media platforms in Anambra West reads: “Before now, when you think of Nzam, what comes to mind is the local government headquarters without a tarred road since its inception.

“However, there is good news. The situation has changed for the better. Thanks to Governor Soludo’s administration for giving them their first-ever tarred road and ending their long-sufferings and pains. I can only imagine how happy, grateful, and appreciative they are. The laying of the stone base is ongoing; next is asphalting….”
The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon. Patrick Udoba (Ezego Anam) however few days ago, berated the contractor for not living up to his initial promise. Udoba said he was not impressed with the level of work as more progress ought to have been made. But the contractor, Mr. Johnny explained that flood affected the progress of work and promised to expedite action.
Meanwhile, Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Anambra West, Chief Romanus Egwuatu, applauded Governor Soludo for his determination to ensure the speedy completion of the road.

Earlier in an event, the Transition Committee (TC) chairman, Anambra West, Hon. Felix Ikechi commended the Governor over his numerous projects in the State and Anambra West in particular. Ikechi stated that with Governor Soludo, Anambra State has found a solution. “Solution is here” he declared.
