The member, representing Anambra West Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Patrick Udoba has distributed yam seedlings to farmers in his Constituency.
While speaking on his choice of support and empowerment, Honourable Udoba said that Anambra West people are mainly farmers and there is no better time to support them in their occupation than now. “My people are the ones who cultivate a greater percentage of foods eaten around here. So, as they return to farms as this is the season, I cannot overlook an opportunity like this, to support them ” he said.
Udoba said that aside from engaging in his primary functions as a legislator by sponsoring credible Bills that will attract and sustain developments, he will always look out for the needs of his constituents, like empowering the students, providing skill acquisitions opportunities for others and many more.
Multichannels247 reports that the second phase of the yam seedlings distribution was for Oganiru and Akwuluoto age grades in Anam who have engaged in reconciliation of troubled communities in Anam.
In reaction, the beneficiaries applauded the lawmaker, stating that this is not the first time, he offered such support. “He does it every year. Even after flooding, he supports the farmers with farming tools” one of them told Multichannels247 reporter.
